October is approaching and so is the cold. After the first frost we will be able to start picking some the fruits that await the frosts to sweeten, rosa de castilla, fendler's barberry, canyon grape, bear berry, et cetera. Hopefully included in the findings will be chanterelles and ponderosa pine mushrooms and many others plants we haven't used yet. We are looking forward to begin to cold seasons, until then we will be using the last bounties of summer.
Also included in October is the venture towards stronger self-sufficiency. With / Shed the idea has been and will remain to be an extension of myself, blurring my life and work. In this case you can see that self-sufficiency is essential to continue moving forward and growing, leaving me/us the freedom to create and explore. As of October will be raising our price, in which these extra funds will go toward supporting the help of my amazing sister Allysa who has been largely volunteering her time to the project to work more full time and the reach to acquire some land to set roots.
While I've spent a lot of time disputing the cost of our dinners, often undermining the work we do to keep it as low as possible, I am always learning that money is a means of trading our energy. I spend everyday's energy into / Shed and am endlessly grateful to have so many of you out there who have spent your energy to produce the money you exchange to us in return for a dinner so that we may continue our work.
Again thank you being excited on what we do and supporting us doing so.
