I chased a leaf across the yard and woke up underneath the stars.

Time is surreal.

The end of yet another year is approaching. It had stopped raining here for a few weeks straight now but just picked back up today. There is a stillness in the air. I'm starting to find out that the nothingness here, or in general has the potential to be filled with anything our minds can imagine, something I have felt for sometime now but am now practicing.

So as I sit inside a little cafe on the outskirts of town overlooking the mountains, with the sun peeking through the just past rain clouds, with a hot cup of coffee watching mother earth molt, I can relate to trees who have shed their leaves to conserve their energy to prepare for the cold months ahead. I remind myslef:

Let yourself be still.
