We have a quite a few rituals on the ranch and in the kitchen and one of those is our daily coffee. 

Until a few years ago I spent my entire cooking career by drinking black coffee first thing in the morning, and zooming off to what ever task I had before starting work, usually at 10am, and usually stoping for a second coffee and some sort of pastry somewhere. I never made breakfast at home.
